-Dr. Seuss, The Lorax (I LOVE this movie and would recommend it to you all especially today 😉 Even though it’s a “children’s” movie, it will make you bawl your eyes out. The message is very important and pertains to us all.

I was psyched for Earth Day this year because I was planning on attending a march/protest in my neighborhood(yes bonus points, I was also going to miss school)!! Recent events(cough cough cough, Covid19) have canceled this event but, it has not canceled the movement and the belief that we need to work to create a better world!

The coronavirus is causing havoc globally but, a silver lining can be found. This pandemic is surprisingly having positive effects on the environment. The pandemic is leading to a reduction in pollution and carbon emissions. It is sad that it has taken something as dramatic and deadly to bring positive change for the environment but we can still contribute to the positive change in the environment

Back to the tile/quote of this post, nothing is going to change if we don’t all pitch in to help. Our small actions may seem meaningless but they will contribute to the bigger picture. The bigger picture being a world where we can live where, global warming does not threaten us and we can all enjoy what nature has to offer to us.

HAPPY 50th EARTH DAY to all of you!! To get in the Earth Day spirit I would recommend watching the Earth Day Live Global program(@ earthday.org) or watch some videos about the earth and nature on the Discovery Channel or National Geographic(Oooh, both of these channels are so much fun to watch and the animals are adorable 😉 )In the next few weeks I’ll be posting some Earth Day crafts and ideas so, stay tuned! Remember, every small action you do counts!Something as simple as posting environmental positivity or #earthday on your social media to spread awareness to the movement counts as taking a step to help our world.

I like to consider myself a Virgo/Libra as my birthday is on the cusp of the cutoff date so, I have qualities of both signs.I'm also a teenage girl who has never outgrown the color pink and will randomly quote from books and movies.   4. HAPPY EARTH DAYYYY!!!!!
    I was so so excited too, It was supposed to be my first major council event as the Eco club secretary of the school….I am sad, but something even better has happened, we’ve managed to take a small step towards a better earth!!! just in my country, pollution and emmission levels have gone down by as much as 60% just bcos of the lockdown!!!!!!! It’s so amazing that you begin to wonder, what if we’d all just stayed home just one day a week after the global lockdown, we could make such a huge difference!!!

    aaah I adoore discovery channel, but animal planet takes the cake- I can’t get enough of it!!

      OMG, Yessssss. That’s amazing that your the secretary of the Eco club in your school. I’m sorry that your first major event was cancelled but, there’s always next year😂 What do you do in the Eco club? I love that your helping the earth in your school community!! Ahhh girl, you’ve got this💕
      It’s crazy how much pollution has gone down during lockdown. I’m going to rephrase your question, imagine how the earth would look if we stayed in lockdown for a year( though a year is excessive and your one day a week idea is much better )?!

      1. thas okay Lucy, since I forgot to reply to this, I think I’m the guilty one here XD
        ummm to be frank I’m probably the worst eco club sec our school has had XD
        but our main responsibility is to think of new ways to help the school help the earth, and help out with the looong list of sustainable programs arranged by the government (this included competitions and my school is soo competitive, its actually funny XD) but I’m usually too busy helping out in the normal school events (I’m slave no.1 XD) so poor eco club didnt really grow this year 😦

        IKRRR!!! It would be such an amazing dream!!! a reborn earth!!

      5. Of course I would read I love your style, your posts and you!!! Awww nooo I’m so sorry good luck with all of your work!! Honestly I miss work I’ve been on a gap year and with lockdown I haven’t been able to do much in the way of getting another job so I miss the structure that school/work brings.

        Yay well whenever you’re free and happy to I would love to do a collab, or I’d also love to just feature some of your contents like a guest post sometime if you’d be interested 🙂 We do have so much in common I am so glad we met – I feel this could be the start of a really fun friendship 🙂
